The Cancer Biology Journal Club is a weekly 1-hour course to let students select and present recently published impactful original research articles in the field of cancer research. One student presents a selected article each week, all participants are expected to read the article in advance and come prepared with discussion points/questions. All enrolled students are required to present one article per academic year, and attend all classes to participate in discussions. Articles are selected by each student, either relevant to their research projects or based on their academic interests, and approved by the Course Director prior to the class. The purpose of the course is to provide an opportunity for students to practice their literature searching and presentation skills, reviewing and discussing scientific findings and techniques in the field, and to learn a broad range of subjects in the field of cancer research. The Course Director and/or invited faculties will moderate the discussion and provide feedback.
