Qualitative Research in Healthcare

Catalog description

This course will examine qualitative research approaches in healthcare, focusing on how they contribute to advancing knowledge in nursing and related fields. It will cover techniques for data collection and analysis, as well as strategies for evaluating and critiquing research findings. It will focus on the philosophical and epistemological foundations of qualitative research in healthcare, present an overview of various methodological approaches, examine standards on the criteria for rigor, and analyze ethical issues in qualitative research in healthcare. Prereq: Enrolled in the PhD in Nursing program or Requisites Not Met permission.
