This course is designed to allow students to explore the social, political, economic, and health care issues that form the context for their clinical phenomena of interest. The intent of this course is for the student to become knowledgeable about the broader forces that affect their clinical problem. Topics might include current research in their field, as well as health policy related to their phenomena, political entities that affect funding, and the regulation of practice in their area of interest. The student will need a content expert to help them plan and coordinate their practicum experiences, which should be multiple and varied, and include exposure to both local and state level entities. Prereq: NURS 507 .
