Students will explore the role of the Psychiatric Mental Health (PMH) Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist within the context of family and community. The course will focus on boundaries, professional development and the scope and standards of practice within these roles. Students will examine ethical, legal, cultural and professional standards as they relate to micro and macro systems. (Admission to Family Systems Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Program required.)
