Psychopharmacology

Catalog description

This course will focus on medications commonly used to treat psychiatric disorders and clinical implications for the patient and family with additional focus on specific monitoring, interventions, and education required for this specialty group of medications. Substance use disorder (SUD)/Alcohol use disorder (AUD) and classifications of detoxification protocols will be described. Pain management and opioid use disorder (OUD) in APRN practice are discussed.
