Health in the Global Community

Catalog description

This course will focus on an analysis of the forces shaping community and global health patterns. Drawing on multidisciplinary sources, this course will explore the impact of these global processes as they manifest in the health of our own and other societies. Emphasis will be placed on analysis of the broad cultural, environmental, socio-economic, and political systems that contribute to health status and outcomes, health policies and health care delivery around the world. Counts as a Human Diversity & Commonality course. Counts as a Understanding Global Perspectives course. Prereq: NURS 330 .
