Catalog description
This course will build on knowledge and skills acquired in previous adult courses to tailor nursing care to infants, children, adolescents, and their families. Students will apply the nursing process within the context of the child/family's culture and community and will examine acute and chronic conditions along with health promotion and maintenance. Growth and development, communication, evidence-based practice, interprofessional collaboration, quality, and safety will be emphasized. Prereq: NURS 240 and NURS 317 and NURS 342 and NURS 212 and SOCI 203 .
