Catalog description
This course will integrate the knowledge and skills required to provide safe and effective patient care in the critical care setting. Emphasis is placed on implementation of the nursing process and standards of practice required to care for critically ill patients and their families. The didactic component includes topics on current practice and trends in critical care nursing. The clinical, lab and simulation components provide students with opportunities to implement the roles and functions of the advanced generalist nurse. Prereq or Coreq: NURS 502 .
