Catalog description

This course explores the intricate relationship between the nervous and immune systems, with a focus on understanding the bidirectional communication between neurons and immune cells. Students will delve into the molecular, cellular, and systemic interactions that govern neuroimmunology, examining both physiological and pathological aspects. The course will integrate concepts from neuroscience and immunology to provide a comprehensive understanding of the dynamic interplay between these two systems. An emphasis will be placed on science communication with students being required to write a scientific review article and participate in a group research presentation. Prereq: NEUR 201 .
