Leadership in Action: Teamwork and Influence
Case Western Reserve University · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
Groups and teams are everywhere in our daily lives. They help us find solutions, achieve goals, and create opportunities. Yet, we often overlook how teams actually function and what drives their effectiveness. This course combines theory with hands-on practice, giving you opportunities to work in teams, experiment with different roles, and apply strategies for collaboration and leadership in real time. You will strengthen your ability to contribute as a team member, lead teams, and even consult on team performance. Together, we will explore questions such as: How do teams develop over time? What makes a team effective? What behaviors promote psychological safety? And other team topics that matter to you.
