Catalog description
Economics is the foundation of business analysis. It is the study of choices that economic agents make as they cope with scarcity and the incentives that influence those choices. Economic analysis is built on rigorous theories and methods designed to investigate causal relationships. Broadly, economics is divided into microeconomics, focusing on the actions of individual agents within the economy, and macroeconomics, focusing on the economy as a whole. This course offers an introduction to the theories, principles, and applications of microeconomics and macroeconomics. Microeconomics topics include supply and demand, market failures, theory of the firm, market structure, pricing strategies, strategic decision-making, and decision-making under uncertainty.
