Catalog description

This course will introduce students to some of the fundamental equations that changed the world. The students will investigate the mathematics behind some of the most influential equations or ideas, understanding the scientific and social climate in which the equations emerged, and assessing how these equations have changed the world. In addition to traditional classroom and assignment work, the course includes a significant writing and discussion component. Counts as a Disciplinary Communication course. Prereq: ( MATH 223 or MATH 227 ) and ( MATH 224 or MATH 228 ).
