Catalog description

Negotiation is fundamental to basic interpersonal interactions and critical in professional practice no matter what its particular focus. The course will be focused on assisting students to understand negotiation preparation and strategies in transactional contexts that can be applied both in class and in practice. Students will practice these concepts with hands-on, participatory demonstrations and simulations, enabling students to appreciate and to develop their unique negotiating style, to understand their personal strengths and weaknesses as communicators and negotiators, and to enhance their negotiating and critical thinking abilities.
