Catalog description

This course provides practical skills for advising companies that use or build AI. Students will learn to manage AI-related issues across the business lifecycle--from contracts and vendor management to product counseling, crisis response, and board briefings. Through live simulations, students draft AI contract clauses, create concise risk registers and one-page model summaries, run an AI-incident tabletop, and deliver one-page executive memos. A short workshop introduces responsible, structured prompting for legal analysis. The final project combines a strategic executive memo and a mock board presentation that mirrors how in-house lawyers brief senior management.
