Catalog description

This course explores the ways in which legal remedies may be used to address the social determinants of health. The course examines specifically the connections between poverty, health and law. Topics may include: stigma and illness; healthcare and civil legal systems; redlining; housing; income and benefits; vulnerable elderly and youth populations; and legal advocacy approaches.
