Research Seminar

Catalog description

The research seminar is a requirement for the recently created graduate certificate, the Interschool Quantitative Biosciences Program. As part of the certificate, students must participate at least three semesters in a standing research seminar or colloquium series sponsored by a department center (outside the student's home department). On average this is to include at least eight seminars over not more than 16 months. Each semester they participate, students will enroll in this 0 credit hour course. The IQBP faculty directors will oversee that the students provide a half-page summary of the seminar suitable for a lay audience for sharing with the IQBP student cohort and will post this to canvas under the discussion section for this course.
