Catalog description

Dialogues in Healthcare Management explores the array of managerial roles that people play within the healthcare economy and exposes students to specific management and leadership challenges that arise in those roles. This is accomplished through facilitated dialogs with experienced healthcare management professionals. Drawing on the experiences and deep contextual knowledge of these professionals, the course provides students an opportunity to synthesize and apply their prior coursework to better understand the challenges and opportunities that managers face to improve organizational performance and succeed in an evolving healthcare marketplace. Other graduate students may request permission of the instructor. Offered as HSMC 325 and HSMC 425 . Prereq or Coreq: ECON 378 .
