Catalog description

This course involves an empirical, hands-on, toolbox approach to comparative grammar and stylistics for the purpose of introducing students to the methods and skills of translation. Some examples of texts to be translated include, but are not limited to, prose and poetry, press articles, as well as some technical texts. Artificial Intelligence will also be used to translate critically a variety of texts both from English into French and from French into English. Counts as a CAS Global & Cultural Diversity course. Prereq: FRCH 202 .
