Introduction to the fundamental principles of timber and masonry design. Topics include an introduction to wood materials; design of timber beams and columns to resist vertical and lateral loads; design of nailed and bolted connections; and an introduction to masonry materials, including the design of masonry walls and columns. Offered as ECIV 372 and ECIV 472 . Prereq: ECIV 315 .
