Surveying and Computer Graphics

Catalog description
Principles and practice of surveying; error analysis; topographic mapping; introduction to photogrammetry and Geographic Information Systems (GIS); fundamentals of computer-aided drafting using AutoCAD. Students will be instructed on effective communication of technical concepts and preparation of visual aids, including figures, tables, and slides. Laboratory. This course satisfies the GER Disciplinary Communication requirement only in combination with ECIV 268 . Counts as a Disciplinary Communication course. Prereq: Declared BSE in Civil Engineering major, Civil Engineering minor, Environmental Engineering minor, or Requisites Not Met Permission.
