An introduction to functional programming elements and attendant constructs in the Java programming language. Generics, enumerated types, records, and access to class members. Advanced control flow. The Java Collection Framework. Functional interfaces: lambdas, comparators, and standard functional interfaces. Optionals. Stream, collectors, and map-reduce. Prereq: CSDS 132 or CSDS 235 .
