Clinical Observation and Assisting III

Catalog description
This course is designed to introduce D2 students to clinical operations as they enter the D3 year. Students will observe the various clinical operations/procedures including but not limited to admissions/oral diagnosis, radiographic exposure, charting. Clinical examination such as charting of existing restorations and missing teeth along with planned treatment. Observation of the periodontal examination to include charting. Students are to observe and assist in hygiene visits, restorative treatment, prosthetic treatment, and other treatments provided in the DMD clinic. Students are also to observe the usage of Axium and the operations of the dispensary and dirty window.
