Catalog description
This course provides students with essential skills to solve complex financial analysis and valuation tasks. Through this course, students will build proficiency in interpreting and integrating financial statements, forming the foundation for a dynamic and interconnected financial model. Students will conduct advanced financial analyses, including ratio, trend, sensitivity, and scenario analysis, to support data-driven decision-making. The course also covers essential basic valuation methods, such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) and comparative valuation. Designed to blend theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice, this course prepares students to excel in finance by applying computational tools to informed financial decision-making. This course will primarily utilize Excel and challenge students to improve their finance and modeling skills. Students will improve their familiarity with financial data analysis through various exercises that incorporate completed models. Prereq: BAFI 355 .
