Catalog description

Students complete an independent research project with a faculty advisor. Capstone projects may be library research or may involve designing and conducting a research project. The latter may require IRB or other approvals and, therefore, may only be conducted if sufficient time is allowed to acquire permission. Most faculty advisors will only advise Capstone projects with students who have taken courses with them and/or discussed their project ideas well in advance. Therefore, students who are interested in completing an independent research Anthropology Capstone must discuss their interests with the faculty member at least one semester prior to the term they wish to enroll in the Capstone course. Students who do not get a faculty adviser's consent in advance of enrollment for the semester they wish to enroll will not be permitted to enroll in ANTH 398 . Counts as a Capstone Project course. Counts as a SAGES Senior Capstone course. Prereq: Major in Anthropology.
