Mergers & Acquisitions increasingly involve accounting professionals at all stages of the process from defining objectives, screening targets, evaluating financial statements, valuation, due diligence, recording the transactions in the financial statements, to integrating the acquisition with the parent company. All the large public accounting firms have M&A advisory services, and most company acquisition teams involve accountant(s).
