Catalog description

This course incorporates previously learned concepts and theories and principles of nursing judgement in the provision of safe, quality patient centered care for infants, children, and adolescents with increasingly less predictable outcomes. Emphasis is placed on the growth and development of children and the promotion of health and the prevention and management of illness in children. Patient teaching and collaboration among the nurse, health team, patient, and family members is addressed within clinical nursing practice. The course has a theory and clinical component.
