Catalog description

This course provides a fundamental understanding of human anatomy and physiology. Topics include body organization, body divisions, cavities, and cell structure with basic organic chemistry. Structure, functions, related diseases and disorders and their relationships will be covered for the body systems. The course emphasizes the effective use of medical terminology through the study of the principles of word construction, elements, abbreviations, and symbols with emphasis on spelling and pronunciation. A minimum grade of C is required to complete this course.
