Catalog description

This theory and lab course covers the history of pharmacy, prescription processing, and the role of community pharmacies in patient care. Students examine federal laws and regulations, medication safety, and the impact of medication errors on patient outcomes. Anatomy, disorders, and therapies of the urinary and reproductive systems are surveyed. Laboratory practice includes prescription translation, order entry, filling, labeling, verification, and use of pharmacy software systems.
