Catalog description
This course provides the student with a solid understanding of global and local community health issues, regulations and preventative measures. The course covers global health organizations, epidemiology, leading causes of death, underserved populations and the emerging communities and health concerns of the 21st century. Much focus is placed on the global and local environmental issues associated with water and air quality, waste management, communicable disease, and occupational health issues. This is an upper division online course.
