Catalog description

This course examines the structure and function of the head and neck focusing on the bones, muscles, vascular system, nervous system, glandular system, lymphatics and spaces and fascia of the orofacial region. Students will learn to identify the anatomical structures of the head and neck, specifically as they relate to the structure and function of the oral cavity and the practice of dental hygiene.
