Catalog description
This course presents an overview of the history of the pharmacy as well as the duties and responsibilities of a pharmacist and the State and Federal laws governing pharmacy practice, standards and regulations. This course includes HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) statutes, regulations, and preparation for certification. Current ethical issues in pharmacology will be discussed. A minimum grade of C is required to pass this course.
