Catalog description

This theory and lab course examines retail pharmacy operations, foundational principles of pharmaceutical care, and the role of the pharmacy technician. Students examine the anatomy, disorders, and therapy of the nervous system and mental health conditions. The study of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, dosage forms, and routes of administration are also reviewed. Laboratory practice includes prescription translation, order entry, filling, labeling, verification, and use of pharmacy software systems.
