This course introduces and familiarizes students with the philosophy and conceptual framework of the LVN to ADN program. Role expectations for the registered nurse as caregiver, teacher and member of the healthcare team are discussed. Correct use of the nursing process, critical thinking and technical skills are emphasized in caring for culturally diverse clients throughout the lifespan. Corequisite: RN155
