Ventilatory Principles of Respiratory Care

Catalog description

The focus of this course is management of the airway and mechanical ventilation. Topics include endotracheal intubation, resuscitation devices, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and initiation, monitoring, managing, and discontinuation of mechanical ventilation. Students will apply hemodynamics to positive pressure ventilation. A minimum grade of C is required to pass this course.
