Catalog description

This theory and lab course prepares students for diverse pharmacy practice settings with an emphasis on legal, ethical, and safety responsibilities. Anatomy, disorders, and therapies of the cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, and respiratory systems are explored. Students gain proficiency in dosage calculations using the ratio proportion and dimensional analysis methods. The role of the pharmacy technician in patient health and wellness education is also reviewed. Laboratory practice reinforces learning in unit dose packaging, automated dispensing systems, and health emergency preparedness.
