Catalog description

This course will examine the historical funding of healthcare from private pay to indemnity insurance. The development and status of governmental funding for the elderly and disabled through Medicare, and for the poor through Medicaid will be discussed. Consideration will also be given to billing and reimbursement requirements and procedures for various types of insurance. This is an upper division online course.
