This course provides in-depth study of the clinical features, etiology, pathogenesis, classification and epidemiology of periodontal diseases and the role of genetics, tobacco use and systemic diseases. Also covered are principles of periodontal therapy, including the biological basis and rationale of non-surgical and surgical treatment.
