Catalog description

This course provides an expanded clinical learning experience through lectures and demonstrations. Items to be introduced are instrumentation using Gracey curettes and files, ultrasonic instrumentation, air polishing, placement of an interim therapeutic restoration, and management of medical emergencies. Items to be reviewed are principles of instrumentation, sharpening, and ultrasonic scaling. A minimum grade of C is required to pass this course.
