Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to introduce and provide an overview of core concepts of healthcare simulation best practices including education, operations, research, assessment, and administration. Topics will include history of simulation and current trends, educational theory, simulation curriculum planning, design, implementation, and evaluation, simulation operations and technology, introduction to simulation research, simulation standards and accreditation, quality and patient safety, roles and responsibilities, policies and procedures, psychological safety, and ethical considerations.
