Oncology Nursing and Patient Care

Catalog description

This course provides an in-depth study of oncology patient care with an emphasis on assessment and management of medical conditions specific to patients with cancer. Topics include screening and prevention, patient and community education, communication, care standards, research and protocols, treatment options, management of site-specific treatment effects, prevention of treatment complications and the psychological impacts of cancer. Co-requisites: RTT 210, 220, 230, 250.
