Catalog description
This is a theory and lab/clinical course designed to prepare the student for the role of the associate degree nurse in the provision and management of holistic care for the maternal/neonatal patient and family. The course emphasizes the core components of human flourishing, nursing judgment, professional identity and spirit of inquiry in providing care for the maternal/neonatal patient. Clinical emphasis is placed on the application of the core components and competencies when caring for one or more patients in a variety of healthcare settings.
