Catalog description
This is a theory and lab/clinical course designed to prepare the student for the role of the associate degree nurse in the provision and management of holistic care for the adult patient and his/her family. The course emphasizes the core components of human flourishing, nursing judgment, professional identity and spirit of inquiry in providing care for adult patients with cancer, diabetes, post-surgical procedures, or who are experiencing common cardiovascular or musculoskeletal health alterations. Clinical emphasis is placed on the application of the core components and competencies when caring for one or more patients in a variety of healthcare settings.
