Catalog description
A beginning college-level math course which includes the following topics: operations with signed numbers, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with algebraic expressions; factoring; techniques for solving linear and fractional equations; an introduction to graphing; ratio and proportion; direct and inverse proportions; scientific notation; and unit conversion. This general studies class fulfills a natural sciences/mathematics requirement for students enrolled in a degree program.
