This course delves into the multifaceted aspects of leadership and management within healthcare organizations, focusing on financial stewardship, team dynamics, ethical conduct, leadership theories, and systems leadership. Students will analyze organizational constraints, prioritize cost-effective care, evaluate team performance, resolve conflicts, delegate responsibilities, and promote diversity while maintaining ethical standards. The course also explores various leadership roles, styles, complexity science, change management theories, and leader well-being. Additionally, students will examine the pivotal role of organizational leaders in fostering relationships, safety culture, quality improvement, resource management, and professional accountability in healthcare settings.
