This course provides an overview of the human nervous system with an emphasis on the structure and function of the brain. Topics include anatomy of the nervous system, the physical and chemical bases of action potentials and synaptic transmission, sensory processing, motor pathways and higher brain functions dealing with memory, language and brain disorders.
