Catalog description

This course develops knowledge in the causes for and approaches to social inequality and stratification. It examines the changes in family structure, intergenerational inequality, and the impacts of the changing nature of work. The course also analyzes the persistence and growth in US poverty, its origins, causes, and strategies for intervention.
