Engineering Mechanics

Catalog description

This course offers an in-depth investigation into equivalent systems of forces, resultants, distributed forces, equilibrium of rigid bodies, centers of gravity, fluid statics, moments of inertia, friction, and virtual work. Analysis of frames and machines, forces in beams, internal stresses, and stability will also be considered. Vector algebra will be used throughout the course.
