Education in Action

Catalog description

This course provides students the opportunity to explore a career in education through volunteer service with children in community settings. Students will complete a minimum number of approved volunteer hours at a school, after-school program, community organization, or similar setting that serves children. Through guided reflection, students will examine their experiences, explore what it means to work with children in a professional capacity, and begin developing the dispositions and awareness needed for a career in education.
