Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to the UNIX Operating System and to UNIX software development. Many servers and other applications are hosted on UNIX machines, so the student will frequently find themselves working on or using UNIX machines once they enter the workforce. This course is not a course on UNIX system administration; however, basic system administration and security will be introduced. The focalpoint of this course will be UNIX software development.
