Catalog description

This is an upper-level Chinese Reading course for students who have reached intermediate level proficiency in Chinese. Materials used in this class are selected from traditional fables, mini-stories, and articles from newspapers and magazines on the lifestyle and social changes in modern China. While discussion will be one of the major class activities, students are strongly encouraged to profit from opportunities to build their vocabulary and improve their sense of the Chinese language through reading and writing assignments throughout the semester.
